Alright guys I know its been a while since I actually reviewed any sort of anime but as I promised Anime Reviewed is coming back at full force with new reviews, new articles, and hopefully new writers. So if you think you have some talent in writing let me know because Anime Reviewed is constantly looking for new writers of almost any type. Yes we don’t mind if you just write about any thing anime related it doesn’t have to be a review just make sure its not stupid because it will be screened before its posted. There are perks for being a reviewer though because occasionally you get screener material from anime companies and some conventions will let you in for free as a member of the press.

Anime Reviewed Reviews Bleach 223

Description
(DESCRIPTION MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS SO READ IT AT YOUR OWN RISK)
Alright forgive me if I’m a small bit rusty on my reviews but here we go with the bleach 223 review only a about 5 or 6 days late. In this episode of Bleach the annoying vice captain of second division Omaeda and his captain Soi Fon take on two of Barragon’s Fraccion. The fraccion in particular are Nirgge Parduoc and Ggio Vega who seem to be Barragon’s more trusted fraccion. These two fights actually began on Episode 222 but on this episode is the shocking or not so shocking conclusions to those fights. In more details on the fights the Omaeda and Nirgge Parduoc fight was probably the stupidest of the two fights. Apparently Omaeda was holding back and towing with Nirgge for pretty much the entirety of the last episode as he takes control of the fight in this episode. Don’t think that just because Omaeda was holding back and towing with Nirgge last episode that he will go down that easily as it takes him the entirety of the episode to beat him. Oh yeah Nirgge is a elephant arrancar who lacks any special techniques or powers besides being really strong with a trunk that can grab stuff. The fight in general was also lacking in awesomeness as I didn’t like either of the two characters so I wouldn’t mind it if they both killed each other in this episode. In the other fight in the episode which was Soi Fon fighting against Ggio Vega which was a much better fight. Both Soi Fon and Ggio are close range fighters who use short blades and hand to hand techniques to fight. Before I forget Ggio is from what I assume him to be; is some sort of sabre tooth tiger or some other type feline arrancar. I actually like Ggio as he is a slightly less cocky and arrogant Grimmjow that doesn’t look nearly as cool as Grimmjow. The fight itself is mainly Ggio beating Soi fon as she for some unknown reason wont use her shikai to beat him with her patentented two hit combo. The fight isn’t bad but it could be much shorter if Soi Fon would just finish him off quickly but she “toys” I emphasise the toys because she basically gets beat up for most of the episode. Don’t worry I wont continue to spoil this for you so this is the end of the Description section for this review.
Sound

The sound quality for this episode was pretty good especially since its not a filler episode so there shouldn’t be too much reason why the sound quality would go down. The opening theme is “Sh?jo S” performed Scandal which has been used since episode 215 which sounds like some weird 70′s song only Japanese. The ending theme is “Kimi wo Mamotte, Kimi wo Aishite” performed by Sambo Master which has been used as the ending theme since episode 215. Kimi wo Mamotte, Kimi wo Aishite is my favorite of the two and it reminds me of one of the Naruto themes but I’m not sure which one exactly but they sound very similar.
I have to give the sound for Bleach 223 a 3.5 out of 5 why would I give it such a low score well I didn’t really like the opening theme that much so that’s what happened to the score.
Visuals

The visuals are pretty well drawn especially compared to the last episodes extremely silly illustrations which I kinda liked oddly enough. Nothing too notable visual wise so I will go ahead and score it a 4 out of 5 because there wasn’t anything notable.
Plot

The plot for episode 223 is following the manga pretty well so I cannot give any negative scores for that however I do wonder why Soi Fon had to take so long on beating Ggio. Well its actually a good thing that the fight took at least two episodes because if it didn’t the manga would be that much closer to the anime which would not be a good thing. I do have to say the plot for this episode did run smoothly as the Espada battles are getting even closer unfortunately it looks like there’s going to be a filler season showing up soon.
The plot for Bleach 223 gets a 4.5 out of 5
Overall Score

Since I enjoyed the episode I will have to give Bleach 223 a 4 out of 5 which I do have to remind you all isn’t a bad thing because anything 3 and higher is good and below that is what you have to be careful of. Also because I am such a nice person I included the episode reviewed streaming at the end. I think I should have said that at the beginning so people would have more incentive to read the review.
