I got into contact with Pete Ellison, better known as DJ Initial P, from Diskowarp Records in hopes of obtaining copy of their latest release “Diskowarp Presents Anime Love Hardcore.”  What caught my attention at first is Diskowarp Records is based out of Portland, Oregon. If you are not aware by now, I live in Oregon. The real eye opener is what this album is all about.

Now after hearing the CD I really have to applaud Peter for going through all the boring paperwork necessary to legally license the music. One of the limitations I am told is the album is limited to sales in the US only.

After listening to Anime Love Hardcore nonstop for the last few days, I must say its found a new home in my music library. It will not be forgotten anytime soon.

This CD is well worth the cost of $12 (or $9.90 on Itunes)!!! I rate the CD an 8/10. Why not a 10 you ask? There is a track or 2 that I couldn’t get into.  It seems like we all have our favorite tracks on here. Just because I couldn’t get into a particular track doesn’t mean you won’t.
