Dragon Ball: What’s the deal?
Gokuu Son is a young boy who lives alone in the woods. Bulma (a girl named Bulma) runs into him while looking for the Dragon Balls. Bulma is determined to find the artifacts in order to make a wish for her perfect man. They are believed to grant one wish to everyone who collects them all. Gokuu is the one who discovers he has a dragonball. Bulma makes a deal with him: he will let her use the dragon ball’s power to tag along. The adventure of their lives began.
They are not the only ones who embark on this journey. Kuririn, an older Muten-Roshi and a wannabe disciple, joins them. Gokuu works together to improve his martial art skills for the World Martial Arts Tournament. It’s not all fun, however. It is possible to grant any wish. Many people would rather have a boyfriend, than wish for one. They train to be better fighters and use this strength to help others.

15. Bleach


Ichigo Kurosaki is an ordinary high schooler—until his family is attacked by a Hollow, a corrupt spirit that seeks to devour human souls. To save his family, Ichigo accepts Rukia’s offer of taking her powers and becomes a Soul Reaper as a result.

All of the monsters who had been demon-lord Hadlar defeated were expelled from his evil will. They were moved to Delmurin, where they can live in peace. Dai is the only living human on the island. Having been raised by the kindly monster Brass, Dai’s dream is to grow up to be a hero.
Hadlar is revived and Dai, the previous hero comes to train Dai for the battle. Hadlar then announces that he works for an even stronger demon lord and comes to kill Avan. Avan uses a Self Sacrifice spell to save his students but is unable beat Hadlar.
When it seems that Dai and Avan’s other student Pop are doomed a mark appears on Dai’s forehead and he suddenly gains super powers and is able to fend off Hadlar. They embark on a quest to find revenge for Avan and restore peace to the world.

Kosukesama Rikimarusama: Konpeito to Ryu was a 45-minute long animated TV special, produced by J.C. Staff. It was broadcast on Japanese televisions in 1988. Similar to Dragon Ball, it was a martial arts adventure story featuring villains that could have stepped out of the Red Ribbon Army, typical Toriyama mecha, and a clone of Son Gohan’s Haiya Dragon.

8. Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi


“Weak Legs” Kenichi Shirahama would rather spend his time reading self improvement books than fighting. Gokuu, five years after his victory in the World Martial Arts tournament is now enjoying a peaceful marriage and their son. This changes, however, with the arrival of a mysterious enemy named Raditz who presents himself as Gokuu’s long-lost brother. He tells Gokuu that he is a warrior of the once-powerful, but now almost extinct Saiyan tribe, whose homeworld has been completely destroyed.
When he was sent to Earth as a baby, Gokuu’s sole purpose was to conquer and destroy the planet; but after suffering amnesia from a head injury, his violent and savage nature changed, and instead was raised as a kind and well-mannered boy, now fighting to protect others.
