They were the legends and superstars who had the greatest impact on WWE. These superstars are the ones you will think of when you think about WWE and its rich past.
However, I believe it’s subjective after considering all the factors such as impact and intrigues. It’s not really a biased list either
This list consists of the 40 WWE superstars That being said, let’s go to the list. Enjoy it!

40: Triple H
Best WWE Superstars. Triple H has done almost everything in WWE and more. Many of the top WWE stars were mentored and picked by Triple H behind-the scenes.
39: Ricky Steamboat
Best WWE Superstars. He is one of the most undervalued workers of his generation. His work ranks up there with some of the greatest.
38: Finn Balor
Best WWE Superstars. Who knows what would have happened if he didn’t get that shoulder injury in 2016? He’d have been a much better wrestler in WWE. He could easily be one of Vince McMahon’s top guys.
37: Daniel Bryan
Best WWE Superstars. One of the best pure in-ring wrestlers of his generation, it’s such a shame that injuries robbed Daniel Bryan of such a historic title reign while at the height of his popularity in 2014.
36: AJ Styles
Best WWE Superstars. Best WWE Superstars. AJ Styles wasn’t given a chance in WWE. But less than a decade later, he became the world champion. Few people are more smooth in the ring.
35: CM Punk
Best WWE Superstars. After his Pipebomb in 2011, CM Punk will be remembered for his amazing talk and maybe his new recognition as a great wrestler.
Best WWE Superstars. Despite only having fought four matches in WWE’s main event, Sting is still undoubtedly one the greatest ever and, even though he is in his 60s, he is doing amazing work with AEW right this moment.
33: Jake Roberts
Best WWE Superstars. Although he may be 29th on the list, many will feel that Roberts was capable of ranking among the best WWE Superstars.
Best WWE Superstars. One of WWE’s top heels during the early 2000s. It’s great to see Edge continuing his great work in his 40s after coming back from retirement in 2020.
Best WWE Superstars. While not the best wrestler, there’s no denying that Goldberg has a place in WCW in the late 1990s, and fans loved it. Unfortunately for him, there isn’t that same love in 2022.
30: The Undertaker
Best WWE Superstars. The Undertaker, the greatest character WWE ever created, has seen some of the greatest matches and been involved with some of most important feuds over the past 30 years.
29: Mick Foley
Mick Foley will be the last Mick Foley. He did the same thing he did as everyone before him and even better than any of his successors.
28: Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho always finds a way to win over fans, even when you think his career is ending. He’s truly one of the most versatile performers ever.
27: Ultimate Warrior
Perhaps not the best technical wrestler of all time, there’s no denying that Ultimate Warrior was incredibly popular with fans. With WWE, he accomplished a lot.
26: Harley Race
A massive star in the territories, it’s not fair to judge Harley Race just on his time with WWE, as his career was pretty much winding out once he got there.
25: Dusty Rhodes
Just listen to his ‘Hard Times’ promo, and you’ll understand why he’s so high up on this list. Dusty Rhodes is the only person who can connect with fans of wrestling more than anyone else.
24: The Rock
The Rock’s full-time run in WWE spanned less than eight years, but he had such a significant impact during that period. Only one man can now claim to be bigger than the WWE brand.
23. Roddy Piper
Roddy Piper is considered the best WWE Champion wrestler. He really should have done, if we’re being honest.
22. Rick Rude
Rick’s look, as well as his ability in the ring, probably should have preppled him right to the very top of WWE. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite pan out that way.
21: Seth Rollins
Mr. Consistent, Seth Rollins is one of WWE’s top stars, and has done pretty much all there is to do in the company since joining in 2010.
20: Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle took to WWE better than anyone, and whether a heel or babyface, was almost always one of WWE’s top stars, immediately from his debut.
19: Scott Hall best
Scott Hall, a remarkable worker and a great influence on wrestling, changed the face of wrestling in 1996 when he switched from WWE to WCW.
18: Roman Reigns
He’s currently embarking on one of the most historic world title reigns in recent wrestling history, Roman Reigns is ‘the guy’ in WWE, will undoubtedly go down as one of their GOATs.
17: Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels is the best WWE Superstar in Bell-to-bell. Perhaps his injuries and personal struggles prevented him from being one of the undisputed all-time GOATs.
16: Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart
Bret Hart should be ranked higher than 14. He’s probably one of the best in-ring wrestlers ever, if not the best. He was injured and didn’t get a higher ranking.
15: Randy Orton
Talk to any number of wrestlers and you will hear Randy Orton say the basics are the best. He is also one of the most skilled ever. There’s something to be said for that.
14: Randy Savage
One of the best wrestlers ever who also broke out into the main stream, Macho Man is probably the last name on this list who didn’t get all of the shots he deserved, despite being incredibly successful.
13: Kevin Nash
Kevin Nash received a little more push as a main events singles man in WCW and WWE.
12: Hulk Hogan
Hulk Hogan made money for WWE and turned them to the global juggernaughts they are today. He also did the same with WCW and the nWo. Without Hogan, wrestling arguably isn’t as big as it is now.
Taking that all into account, you won’t find too many people who laugh at the claim that Hogan is the greatest WWE Superstar of all time, for his impact alone.
11: Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt deserves more, it’s clear. Bray Wyatt is an underrated worker in the in-ring, but he has one of the best creative minds in the industry.
Best WWE Superstars. WCW’s most successful worker, Vince McMahon purchased the company to make it a WWE Superstar.
9: Andre The Giant
Best WWE Superstars. Andre The Giant is one of the greatest WWE stars. In a time when spectacle was more important than match quality, he played his part better than anyone.
8: Stone Cold Steve Austin
Best WWE Superstars. Stone Cold was part of the greatest feud in WWE history. He also had the highest peak in WWE history. However, injuries ended his career.
7: Bruno Sammartino
Best WWE Superstars. Bruno Sammartino was for so many years the best guy. He is a great guy.
6: Eddie Guerrero
Best WWE Superstars. Eddie Guerrero was loved by all fans, no matter if he was a heel and no matter if he was a babyface. He was unfortunately taken too soon, just like many other names on the list.
Best WWE Superstars. For a period, from around 2005 to 2010, Batista was one off WWE’s top stars. He was a huge man who broke into Hollywood faster than anyone could have imagined.
4: Brock Lesnar
Best WWE Superstars. Despite being one of WWE’s top stars for the entirety of both of his stints with the company, Brock Lesnar’s work inside the ring is somehow underappreciated by fans.
3: Rey Mysterio
Best WWE Superstars. Many believe that Rey Mysterio should be higher on this list. Many consider him the greatest little wrestler in history.
2: Ric Flare
Best WWE Superstars. It doesn’t take a genius to point out that Ric Flair is probably one of the GOATs. Although he is unlikely, it’s clear that he is. He was so right at the top for so many years. Not many people come close.
1: John Cena
Best WWE Superstars. WWE’s franchise player for close to a decade. John Cena exceeded everyone’s expectations, and after a long and successful career in WWE, fans are starting to realise just how good he was.
