Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Review. Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated media pieces. Cyberpunk 2077 was a high-profile media project by CDProjekt RED, a Polish studio which created The Witcher series. Their ambitions also include the universe where the game is set. Cyberpunk 2077 appeared impossible to fail. Before the game was published, there were many collaborations. One of these collaborations took place with Netflix and Trigger, a legendary studio that created an anime series that was based on it. Let’s take a look at it and see what it came up with.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an anime series created by CD Projekt RED, animated by Studio Trigger, and available on Netflix. The series follows David (17-year-old) who lives in Night City (a cyberpunk community where tabletop games and video games can be played). David will face a tragedy that will make him a prominent figure in the city. This cyberpunk dystopia will require him to put in the effort to make it work.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated media pieces. It was also one of the most disastrous media launches. As users realized that the promised game didn’t exist, the situation quickly escalated. Cyberpunk 2077 was launched in an incomplete state. It had many performance problems, bugs, and glitches, especially when compared to previous generations.
CD Projekt Red, who owns the IP, could not recover from the launch of the game. The company was successful but the stock price plummeted and their PR was horrible. They were literally racing against the clock to finish what they had already released. They also announced they would release an anime series in collaboration with Studio Trigger. This was before the game was even released. Although the announcement was received with great excitement at the time, many people don’t care anymore now that the anime has finally arrived years later.

It’s unfortunate because CD Projekt Red has fixed the problem and it is now playable. It may not be the perfect game, but the current state makes it much more enjoyable. The release of Edgerunners is at a time when the brand is slowly but surely healing. This series was a testament to the amazing work of Trigger and will only help with healing.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is 10 episodes. It tells the story about David, an 18 year old man who wants to climb to the top in Night City. The story can be read on its own and has nothing to do with the game’s story. The anime draws heavily from the game’s concepts, lore, and locals, so those who have already played it will get a lot more out of the series. The collaboration between the studios made this series an integral part of the universe and not a separate spin-off.

Studio Trigger is the main character of the series. Studio Trigger is now a legendary character thanks to its stunning animation style. Trigger is a master at anime. Trigger is unrivaled when it comes to creating action sequences or characters with a heightened level of detail. Each scene and sequence shows off the studio’s animation abilities. The action is intense and exciting, the characters are original and sexy, while the anime’s main protagonist, the city, feels alive.
We all have seen the story of David before. Even the creators of anime admit that Martin Scorsese’s films were a major inspiration in the story they are telling. First, there’s “Goodfellas”. David is exactly like Henry in this movie. He begins his life as a normal child with ambition. Then he begins to hang out with the wrong people and his descent into Night City’s criminal underground becomes a normal progression. Even though it all seems familiar, Trigger manages to add some cyberpunk to his story.

As the season progresses, Trigger can spice up the story. Even though David and Lucy are familiar with the story they soon find themselves in a tense situation. Midway through the season the story starts to exploit the universe and use details unique to its setting to create frightening and exciting events. Despite being the least complex characters in anime they are still easy to care for, especially during fast-paced action sequences.
Cyberpunk 2077 is still recovering from the disaster launch that almost cost the company its life. Cyberpunk’s Edgerunners is a good start. This series could bring the game to a new audience. This would be incredible, as the game is now rather than when it was launched. These videogame adaptations have been a big success on Netflix. These franchises can be brought to life on the big screen using animation.
