Detroit: Become Human Is Getting A Manga Spin-off In Japan

Detroit: Become Human is receiving a Japanese manga spin-off and it’s an original story set in Tokyo called “Detroit: Become Human: Tokyo Stories.”
Saruwatari Kazami will write the manga and Moto Sumida will draw it. “Detroit: Become Human is one of my favorite games I’ve ever played. I’m glad to be involved in this,” explains Sumida in a Tweet. This comic will be about androids in Japan and Detroit. I hope you enjoy this.”
Detroit become human is one of my favorite games I’ve ever played. I’m glad to be involved this. This comic would tell the story of how androids live in Japan, while Detroit continues. I hope you enjoy it.

According to Famitsu, the story is set in 2038 and focuses on Reina, an android idol. Japan’s positive attitude towards androids is a far cry from the negative sentiment in the United States. Reina is a very popular Japanese character, but people have started to dislike androids since they replaced them in the workforce.
A sentient android from another planet has become rogue. More androids will soon develop human emotions, joining a human girl.
In our Detroit: Become Human review, we said, “Detroit is well worth playing, but it struggles to strike the right balance between giving you freedom of choice and reminding you that it’s all a game in the end. Cage and Quantic Dream are getting closer to nailing this style of game, but it’s obvious that there’s still room to grow.”
