Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile finally reveals release date for Japanese audiences

After only being announced a small while ago, Square Enix’s much anticipated mobile adaptation of the incredibly popular anime series Fullmetal Alchemist – Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile – finally has an official release date for Japan. Pre-registration was opened in June. The release date was initially set for Summer 2022, but it has now been fixed for August 4th on both iOS and Android.

Fullmetal Alchemist has a very different kind of mobile RPG from what you might have expected. Fullmetal uses a 3D fighter-area approach to anime series adaptations. It has a mix of tactics and turn based gameplay. You can think more Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and even Tekken to get a sense of the story, but you also get a bit of Final Fantasy Tactics.

It will have a gacha component, and in-app purchases are confirmed. It hopes to adapt all of Fullmetal Alchemist’s manga series. This means there will be plenty of story content. Expect lots of cutscenes and voice acting, rendered in striking 3D anime art. It also means that you will be able to see the fan favorite characters in action together!

You can pre-register for iOS and Android on the respective storefronts, which are linked below. So make sure you grab those rewards while you can.

There are no details yet about a western release. However, given the popularity of this series over here, it could be possible! For more information, visit Fullmetal Alchemist Mobile. You can also check out our latest news or go to the official website.
