Love and Thunder's Jaimie Alexander Shares Brutal Behind-the-Scenes Pics

Thor: Love and ThunderIt has been in theatres for nearly a month, and it brings about some unexpected updates to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film was full of allusions and references to larger Marvel Comics canon. It also featured some amazing comic-accurate costumes that were part of many of its ensemble. One of the most surprising characters in this category was Lady Sif (Jaimie Alex), who returned to the film in a comic-accurate replica of her red-and grey armor from the comics. Sif appeared only in Love and Thunder for a few key moments, the costume definitely made an impact on fans — and Alexander just shared a pretty epic behind-the-scenes look at it on her social media. Alexander shared two behind-the scenes photos of her hair, makeup and costume in a post that you can see below. She also mentions the team who created it in the caption.

Sif’s appearance in brief Love and Thunder provided her most comic-accurate costume yet in the MCU, with previous suits of armor taking a more understated approach to her color scheme and overall aesthetic. The costume’s debut is doubly impressive when you consider the fact that Alexander’s version of Sif has been in the MCU for over a decade, appearing across the Thor movies (outside of Thor: Ragnarok) as well as Agents for SHIELD.

“I was asked about the timing of when and where they would shoot. Blindspot was gonna shoot — it was pretty much the same time,” Alexander previously told Yahoo!Find out why she didn’t appear on the cover Ragnarok. “So there was conflict there. I wanted more notice. [the studio]It was possible, but I had to make it happen on a very short notice. They called me and asked if they could help. I told them that there was no way that I could do that so fast.

Thor: Love and Thunder finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. Gorr, the God Butcher (Christian Bale), a galactic villain who seeks the extermination of the gods, interrupts Thor’s retirement. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. They embark together on a dark cosmic adventure to unravel the mystery of God Butcher and stop him from taking his revenge.
