Netflix’s Sex Education Gets Manga Adaptation. First Chapter Available Now

Netflix’s hit series Sex EducationJohn Tarachine is adapting the manga series to his own drawings.

The manga comes from Kadokawa’s Global Comic label and will be drawn by Tarrachine, who most recently wrote and drew Umi ga Hashiru End Roll, a manga that was released in 2020. The first issue of the manga is already done and available on Kadokawa’s Comic Bridge website now, for fans who want to check out the debut chapter.

This manga follows news that several key cast members have left Netflix’s highly anticipated fourth season. Recently, Patricia Allison — who played Ola in the series — and Tanya Reynolds (Lily) both announced they would be departing the series, surprising fans who were hoping to see more of their characters in the future.

Sex Education stars Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells, Aimee-Lou Wood, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mikael Persbrandt, and Chinenye Ezeudu. It also features Mimi Keene (Simone Ashley), Tanya Reynolds and Sami Outalball.

Season 3 saw the addition of new cast members in the form of Jason Isaacs as Peter Groff, Jemima Kirke as Headmistress Hope, and Dua Saleh as Cal.

Sex Education hails from writer and creator Laurie Nunn, with Eleven set as its producer. Sophie Goodhart and Selina Lim are among the writers. Temi Wikey, Alice Seabright, Mawaan Rinzwan, Alice Seabright and Temi Williamson contributed material. Season 3 is directed by Ben Taylor and Runyararo Mapfumo, with Taylor, Laurie Nunn, and Jamie Campbell serving as executive producers.
