Piccolo in Dragon Ball Super. Piccolo was the first main character in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. We will now take a look back at some of his most memorable moments. Piccolo was an intriguing character when he was introduced as a villain in “Dragon Ball”, before “Z,” “GT,” and “Super.” It’s great to see him shine as the “Super Hero” lead.
Piccolo doesn’t have to be the most popular character in the action scenes. This is a wonderful thing. There are many cute moments with Pan as well as moments that bring out the humor with Bulma, Gohan and Bulma. As with many other entries in the “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” story, the film keeps things fresh by offering new transformations to some characters. Piccolo is one such character and he shows his new transformation in the film’s memorable finale scene.
Let’s now take a look at Piccolo in “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” without further delay.
Spoilers ahead for “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero”.
1- Gohan after fighting

Piccolo is the main character in “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero”, but the movie isn’t all about him. The film is actually about Piccolo’s love affair with Gohan. The emotional core is well-represented by the cast. Piccolo and Gohan defeat Cell Max, as we’ve already said.
The fight’s final moments are great, but we think the moment after it is over is even more special, when Gohan uses Piccolo’s Special Beam Cannon move against Cell Max. Piccolo congratulates Gohan and can be seen almost blushing, turning his back so that no-one can see him. It is clear that Gohan used a Special beam cannon to end the fight. It was a touching moment between father and son. This will no doubt leave long-time “Dragon Ball” fans beaming with pride.
Piccolo will not miss an opportunity for Gohan, so when Gohan mentions Vegeta’s difficulties with Cell Max, Piccolo tells him that that is precisely why he should keep improving. Piccolo, like all fathers, biological and not, gives Gohan his congratulations and encourages him to keep improving. This is a touching scene that’s one of my favorite scenes in the movie.
2- Great Namekian Orange Piccolo

It seems that the good guys have won after Dr. Hedo and the Gammas have been convinced about Magenta’s evil and the Red Ribbon Army. Magenta isn’t giving up, and unleashes Cell Max, the unfinished cell of his evil plan to end all things. The creature doesn’t obey commands or act intelligently. Some people disagree with this description.

Piccolo and Gohan join Bulma’s team to battle the giant creature. Piccolo is reminded by Krillin of his ability as a giant, which he calls the “Great Namekian,” so Piccolo blends his Orange Piccolo form and his Great Namekian form in an attempt to match the size of Cell Max. Cell Max can fight another person twice his size in battle when they are two giants.
Piccolo’s transformation and Cell Max’s size do not mean Piccolo is any stronger. The fight goes on and it’s great to see these two giants fighting. The big bad is defeated by Piccolo’s new transformation and Gohan’s teamwork in the last moments of the fight.
3- Appeal to Gamma 2’s Morality

As we see in their second fight, Orange Piccolo could defeat Gamma 2. However, Piccolo appeals instead to Gamma’s morality, even though he landed a strong punch. Although he is working with the Red Ribbon Army when Dr. Hedo created Gamma 1 & Gamma 2, he programmed a moral guide into the androids. He took inspiration from his favorite superheroes to create the program. Piccolo is now able to explain to Gamma 2 why Piccolo should join Piccolo or Gohan and not fight for the Red Ribbon Army.
Gamma 2 is told by Piccolo that he has been lied too, that the Z fighters were not Earth’s enemies and that it’s actually the Red Ribbon Army who have nefarious plans to destroy Earth’s population. Piccolo’s words are confusing to the android, but Piccolo and Gohan can’t help but notice that Piccolo is protecting a little girl and the Red Ribbon Army took a child as a pawn. This evil group doesn’t hesitate to hurt her or even attempt to kill it. This situation clearly reveals who the bad guys truly are.
4- Transformation into Orange Piccolo

Piccolo transforms into “Orange Piccolo” after he has reached his full potential and a little more, during the second battle against Gamma 2 in “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero”. Piccolo’s height increases, Piccolo gains bulk and Piccolo develops bigger muscles. The most notable change in Piccolo’s skin color is probably the biggest. The color of his skin changes from a light green to a darker orange.
Piccolo was defeated in battle by Gamma 2, but his transformation into Orange Piccolo made Gamma2 a less formidable foe. His strikes are devastating and he is able to dodge and catch the android’s attacks almost effortlessly. Although transformations and new forms are a regular part of “Dragon Ball”, they are usually reserved for Saiyan characters. Piccolo fans will find this exciting and a great moment.
5-Pan Training

“Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero”, opens with an introduction of the villains and then turns our attention to Piccolo who is spending time in Pan’s presence. Pan, Gohan’s and Videl’s daughter, is following her father’s lead by being trained by Piccolo. It is amazing to see a once-villain fighter spend time with a young girl learning to fly.
Piccolo offers Pan tips to help her stay focused and centred so that she can fly. She is still having difficulty understanding the technique. Piccolo assures her that it will be possible and they take an intermission to drink water, which emphasizes their differences in size. Pan questions Piccolo about Gohan’s fighting skills and strength. Piccolo believes he is the strongest fighter on Earth, which she finds surprising. Piccolo claimed that he was aware that Gohan could be unstoppable. However, Piccolo had to train him. This illustrates the importance and hard work required to raise a youngster.
This is a wonderful scene that shows our hero’s caring nature. Piccolo’s training and friendship with Gohan in this conversation is a thread that viewers can follow back to the beginning stories of “Dragon Ball Z.”
6- Call Videl

Piccolo may believe that the time he spends training and developing Pan’s skills is all about him, but the truth is that he’s a kind of a babysitter. Piccolo and Videl are both made aware of this fact when Videl calls Piccolo shortly after Pan leaves to go to kindergarten. Piccolo had been training Videl. Piccolo hears Videl say that she will be training her students in martial arts for tournaments and that Gohan is busy with research. Piccolo asks Videl if he’d be willing to take Pan with her after she finishes school.
Piccolo initially protests, asking her father why he can’t pick her up, but eventually he accepts. It’s obvious that he cares about Pan and wants her to have a positive role in her life. Even though it frustrates him that her parents depend on him for caretaking, Videl also offers to buy Pan a stuffed animal (“One you like”), something he has never requested. Videl loves stuffed animals and keeps growing his collection.
7-Gohan is disappointed

Piccolo, frustrated and a bit flustered after his call with Videl calls, visits Gohan to inquire why he doesn’t have the time to pick his daughter up from school. Gohan says he is working on a research project, and must stay focused to finish it. Piccolo is worried about Gohan’s dedication to his work. Piccolo tells Gohan to spend more time with his family, and to train more.
Gohan claims that Vegeta, Goku and all threats can be handled by them and that the world doesn’t need him. Piccolo attacks Piccolo right as he’s saying these words. Piccolo’s first strike is defeated by Gohan, but not his second. Piccolo then applies the traditional, heavyweighted gi to Gohan. He struggles to stand, which shows how far his fall has been. Piccolo shows Gohan how much he cares. Apart from the attack, the scene reads more as a conversation between a father-son duo.
8- Going undercover

Piccolo escapes from Gamma 2’s misguided attack, but he uses a clever trick to make it seem like he has lost the fight. Piccolo is able to track Gamma 2 back towards Red Ribbon Army headquarters using this trick. Piccolo is able to sneak into the headquarters and steal a soldier’s uniform. Piccolo can then roam free around the facility, without being stopped. He is able follow Gamma 2 to a Meeting with Magenta & Doctor Hedo, where he learns more of their plans to eliminate Bulma and Goku as well as all Z fighters.
This sequence is essential for the plot and allows for great humor. Piccolo arrives at the Red Ribbon Army meeting and notices that all the grunts seem to be human. Piccolo plays it off as if he has stomach issues, but the soldier is able believe him. Piccolo continues to talk with the soldier and sometimes it seems that Piccolo will give in. Piccolo manages to disguise himself and always recovers. This scene is hilarious and well-written.
9- Meeting Dende

Piccolo discovers the Red Ribbon Army has returned with powerful androids and is about unleash Cell, an even more powerful version. Piccolo immediately calls Bulma asking Bulma whether Vegeta or Goku are capable to take on the new threat. Piccolo must come up with new ways to defend Earth and his friends, but they aren’t there — they are training on Beerus’ planet sparring.
Piccolo recalls that the Grand Elder Guru of Namek was able unlock Krillin and Gohan’s potentials years ago. Piccolo visits Dende, Earth’s current guardian, to see if he can unlock his latent potential. Dende is far too young to possess this ability. However, he offers to upgrade Piccolo’s Dragon Balls to unlock his potential.
Although the scene doesn’t last very long, it is nice to see Dende appear. Piccolo, Dende, and Dende, Namekians, make for a wonderful scene.
10- Untapped potential?

Piccolo met Dende when he decided that gathering Dragon Balls or wishing Shenron to unlock his full potential were the best options. Piccolo and Bulma meet to name the wish-granting Dragon. Bulma already has the Dragon Balls for wishmaking.
Amazing as ever, the sequence of dragon-summoning looks fantastic. The animation is beautiful and the interaction between the giant, glowing dragon, and pitch-black sky looks amazing. Piccolo and Bulma are able to have a casual conversation with the mythical Dragon that can alter time and place. This is what makes the scene stand out. Piccolo’s wish to unlock all his warrior potential is granted, and the three of them have a short conversation as if they were old friends.
Shenron grants Piccolo his wish, probably due to Piccolo’s long-standing relationship with Piccolo as well as other Z fighters. Piccolo unlocks all of his potential and even adds “a bit more” to Namekian’s strength.
11- Bulma’s wishes shocked me

Piccolo has made his wish for Shenron’s potential to be realized, and he is unable to think of any other wish, so he tells Bulma that she can have the remaining two wishes. Bulma knows exactly what she wants and asks Shenron for help in removing some wrinkles. Bulma will accept her word that these aren’t visible to the cameras. Piccolo is shocked Bulma would use the metaphysical powers of the Dragon Balls for what is essentially cosmetic surgery. Bulma could prefer to avoid that part. He’s even more shocked when he discovers that Bulma has done this before.
This scene becomes even more comical when Bulma realizes how she could have wished Vegeta, Goku and Red Ribbon Army would return to Earth in order to defeat Cell Max and Cell Max. Piccolo is frustrated at Piccolo’s inability fulfill her wishes about her appearance. Piccolo is correct to criticize her for not calling Vegeta back and Goku.
12- Pan feigns kidnapping

Piccolo, realizing his potential, and confident that it is possible to defeat Z fighters, sneaks back into Red Ribbon Army headquarters. Piccolo disguised himself as a Red Ribbon Army soldier and they plan to kidnap Pan to get Gohan out.
Piccolo and another Red Ribbon soldier arrive at Pan’s school to pick Pan up. Pan knocks the other soldier unconscious but Piccolo recognizes Piccolo’s energy signature, and she is her sweet self with him. He assures her she’ll be safe, but she must pretend she is scared to make the others believe she’s afraid. He wants her act afraid in order to convince Gohan to take action. Although it’s quite cruel to try to trick Gohan, Pan is willing to do the same and puts on quite a show with Piccolo’s support.
