Stray is about a cat that ends up in a dystopian cyberpunk city. The goal of the story is to escape and liberate a society made up entirely of robots. The story is presented in third person and features light puzzles. There’s lots of exploration and platforming, which will keep you busy, especially if cat-lover.

StrayThe delicate balance between difficulty level and ease of use is what nails is all about. It’s impossible to miss a jump because you connect automatically with the platform you are aiming for. This is a game changer and eliminates any frustrations commonly associated with platformers. BlueTwelve Studio wants its players to experience as little frustration as possible.
Stealth sections can be difficult to spot. There are many opportunities to be spotted and easy hiding places. Small, alien-looking creatures may also be a danger. You can still remove them from your head by simply shaking them away, even if they have piled up.




If you are stuck, your trusted robot companion B-12 will offer you help. Stray is not a cheap design. Instead, it’s a tool that makes mistakes into opportunities for learning.
Stray is not easy, but the exploration and puzzles are difficult enough to be rewarding. I love the feeling of grabbing a worker’s jacket out of a shop. To pull it off, you will need a music cassette. Place the tape in a nearby player. The music begins to blast. The attendant leaves the store to turn off the jacket and allows you to get it. Although the game directs you in the right direction it doesn’t give you the answer. You can find the answer by using enough environmental clues.

Stray is memorable for many reasons. My favorite, however, is its loving treatment of cat behavior. DualSense lets you use triggers to scratch carpets or doors. Robots can also be snuggled up by you and shown love. The cat’s purring makes it even more adorable. These sections vibrate with your controller.
You can also leap into cardboard boxes. This is both very useful and adorable. Boxes are a great way to hide from the deadly robot Sentinels. Sometimes, you can just swat at the items to knock them off a flat surface. This can be a distraction, which will allow you continue.
I love the ability of cats to meow whenever they want. It sounds ridiculous, but having a dedicated meow button brought me joy. I am certain that I won 100x the meowing trophy (probably ten more). It was the cat’s movement and sounds that made me forget that I was actually playing a videogame at times. Stray is a cat. You’re not playing as one, or at least that’s what it feels like.

They look like alien parasites and are very entertaining. Stray has a unique look despite all the robots and aliens.
Every place you visit feels alive. It’s as if it had a rich history. The abandoned underground train station and bustling streets of the city are examples of this. Even the most mundane areas are filled with detail, even in the most boring. The game has a few collectibles, so I was motivated to explore every corner and speak with the robots. Each of them are beautifully written. Some stories are touching, others more bizarre.
The game’s music adds to the atmosphere. The soundtrack is synth-focused and ranges in speed and intensity from fast and heart-pounding to gentle, slow-paced. As you explore and probe, the soundtrack will keep your feet on the ground. Stray’smysteries. It’s only one of many elements that make Stray hard to put down.
