Best Anime Shows From 2010 To 2022

Every year, tons and tons of anime are created by different animation studios for each genre. These anime are loved by fans who then move on to the next. But, at least one anime is released every year that the fans remember for eternity, and it feels like there won’t be another series coming in a thousand years that could match the level of that anime show.

We know you’re a true anime fan, and it’s highly unlikely that you missed any of the series on the list. But still, if there’s even a single series that you skipped, then we assure you that it’s worth every single second you spend on it. So, here’s our recommendation for the best anime shows released from 2010 to 2022.

VIDEO OF The DAY: DUALSHOCKERS

1. Angel Beats! (2010)

When it first aired, the series was met with mixed reviews. The show received a lot of praises for its many elements, such as its animation and attention to the small details. And, most importantly, for its story. However, only having 13 episodes was the series’ biggest flaw. This did not stop us from watching more Angel Beats. Not only does it leave out many of the characters’ backstories, but also makes it difficult to discover their true stories. The story centers around a group o students who battle a girl with superpowers at an afterlife high school.

2. Hunter X Hunter (2011)

This is the ultimate example of shonen animation. The long list of 148 episodes might seem like a lot, but once you start watching it, there’s no turning back. In fact, even with so many episodes, there’s not a proper conclusion given to its story, which has the potential to annoy viewers. There are too many chapters in the manga to be easily covered if there were new episodes. Interestingly, Yoshihiro Togashi, the manga’s writer, has started working on new chapters.

3. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (2012)

The first Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure series came out in 2012, and the show is carrying its great name to this date with new releases. The show has a rating of 8.4 on IMDB, so it’s easy to conclude how well the fans received it. The new part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean is coming out in September 2022, so it’s the best time to watch the previous parts of the series if you haven’t already. The story revolves around the adventures and psychic abilities of the Joestar family.

4. Attack on Titan (2013)

This was the year 2013 that we first saw this legendary anime by HajimeIsayama. Wit Studio was given the work for the show’s animation, and they nailed it in every aspect. It’s easy to believe that Attack on Titan, (AOT), will always be one of my favorite anime shows. AOT currently has 86 episodes. The series is currently awaiting the release of the third season, which will be released in 2023. Attack on Titan takes place in a world where titans, giant humanoid animals, eat humans. Eren Yeager, his friends and their comrades set out to exterminate all Titans on Earth.

5. The Seven Deadly Sins (2014)

In 2012, the Seven Deadly Sins manga was serialized. After fans began to enjoy the series, the anime got its first season in 2014. The show has over 100 episodes, which cover the 41 volumes of The Seven Deadly Sins. The Seven Deadly Sins are a group of warriors that is known as the Holy Knights of the Kingdom of Liones. They are considered the most powerful and cruellest of all the Holy Knights. They are said to have turned against their own comrades after which they begin their quest to clear their name.

6. One Punch Man (2015)

This was the first time the caped baldy appeared on TV and it has a special place within our hearts. Saitama does not become drunk on his own power like many other anime characters. He is the most humble of anime characters and has incredible strength. The only problem in Saitama’s life is that he can’t find a worthy enemy who can challenge him. One Punch Man offers a great package with amazing animation, wonderful characters, intense fighting, bits of comedy and many other things to treasure.

7. Mob Psycho (2016)

Mob Psycho was more popular than any other 2016 shows like 91 Days and Bungo Stray Dogs. You can easily imagine the greatness of this action comedy. It’s hard to believe that some anime aficionados haven’t watched the show, but if you haven’t, then you’re missing something really great. Mob, a middle-school boy with extraordinary psychic abilities, is the protagonist. He attempts to live a normal lifestyle but is always in trouble. The third season will be released in October.

8. Black Clover (2017)

More than 17 million copies in circulation as of January 2022, ranked among the top 100 best anime of the 2010s, the most watched show on Crunchyroll in 2020, and tons of awards prove Black Clover’s greatness. The show currently has four seasons and 170 episodes. There’s no news regarding Black Clover season 5, but a movie will be out in 2023. If you’re also into Black Clover manga, the great news is that the 3-month hiatus announced after chapter 331 is about to end, and the new chapter will release on July 31st, 2022.

9. Violet Evergarden (2018)

Violet Evergarden only has 13 episodes in total, but it feels like the creators have utilized every single second of the series’ runtime to the fullest. The series’ animation is simply amazing. It won the Crunchyroll Anime Award 2019 for the best animation. The show is about Violet Evergarden, a young ex-soldier who takes the job at the writer’s agency after the great war is over. Her work is to ink down people’s thoughts and feelings onto paper which leads her to her own self-discovery.

10. Demon Slayer (2019).

There’s not a single reason why anyone would hate Demon Slayer. It is a fantastic storyline with great animation and soundtrack. The characters are well developed and will take you on a fascinating journey. After watching the first season of the series, fans eagerly awaited the show’s renewal. Ufotable took a while to create the second season. But what they delivered was beyond expectations. The Entertainment District Arc for Demon Slayer was a highlight. This arc’s animation far surpassed every single anime created to date.

11. Jujutsu Kaisen (2020)

Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer are kind of the same thing. They’re a group of experts who defeat demons at different levels. But still, there’s a lot more that separates the two shows. JJK is the most popular manga ever, with more than 65 millions copies. The show currently has just one season, with 24 episodes, and fans are eagerly awaiting the next season. There’s no match to the action scenes beautifully displayed in the series. The comedy that is sprinkled in to make the show even more entertaining is what makes it so special.

12. Tokyo Revengers (2021)

There were many great anime released in 2021 but Tokyo Revengers remained the most popular. The manga Tokyo Revengers already had a large fan base. However, the anime adaptation made it a much more popular series. While the second season of the series was originally greenlit in 2021 it wasn’t until January 2023 that the show received its release window. Hanagaki Takemichi has a miserable life and is redirected to the past after an unfortunate incident. He must make his life better and for those he loves.

13. Spy X Family (2022).

2022 is yet to see the release of a few stunning anime series. But to date, Spy X Family is easily the best of this year’s crop. We hardly get an anime based on espionage and undercover missions, and that’s what makes Spy X Family stand out from the crowd. The series follows Loid, an undercover agent who is on a secret mission. Loid set up a fake family as part of his job. Yor Forger was his wife, and Anya Forger was her child. They share many adventures and have their own secrets.
