The Devil Is a Part-Timer Season 2, Episode 3 Recap

Maou, Emi, Alas Ramus, and Emi arrive at the amusement parks. Rika, Ashiya, Chiho and Ashiya are looking out from afar. Emi asked Maou about his plans for Alas RAMUS while buying a cape. Maou shares his thoughts on his army during the conversation. They watch a live show featuring a hero. Maou is visibly amazed by the stunts, while Emi finds it weird that Maou is amused since he’s the Overlord. In the middle of the show, the crescent appears on Alas Ramus’ forehead. Emi and Maou decide to take Alas Ramus outside.

Maou goes to seek a rest. Alas Ramus is offered help by a mysterious woman in white. The crescent on Alas Ramus’ forehead disappears, and Emi heightens her defense. Emi is told by the mysterious lady that she is not their enemy and to not worry. Emi is warned that Alas RAMUS might be found by someone using the Yesod pieces on her forehead. Emi is also warned about Gabriel, the Heavenly Guard Regiment and other threats. Urushihara is talking to Suzuno about the Gate in the apartment.

Emi, Maou and Alas Ramus board the Ferris wheel. Rika, Ashiya, and Chiho join them. After helping a grandma purchase tickets, Chiho is left behind. Emi confronts Maou because she believes Maou keeps information from her. Maou recounts a childhood story in which an angel saved his life. Because it was her first time hearing a demon call, the angel chose to save him. She also gave him information about the human world, and she left him a seed with crescent shapes. When Maou asked Emi about Alas Ramus’ fate, Emi said that Gabriel and Yesod fragments had been found. Maou confirms that Alas RAMUS is likely an incarnation for Yesod.

The trio rushes back to their home only to be greeted by Gabriel and his men. He asks for Alas Ramus and Emi’s holy sword, to which Maou refuses. Gabriel uses his powers to attack Maou, until Chiho intervenes. In the end, Gabriel says he’ll return tomorrow. In the apartment, Maou says they’ll fight back since Alas Ramus doesn’t want to go with Gabriel anyway. Emi is also advised by Maou to remain the night.
