When is CSI Vegas Season 2 due to be released? When CSI Vegas returns for the second season, it will be a new show. It will not feature its two greatest stars. While the first season was the catalyst for the spinoff, it will mark a new era in the show’s history.
CSI Las Vegas takes place amid all the glamour, lights and glitz of Las Vegas. It follows the elite forensics team in their quest to solve some of the city’s most notorious crimes.
CSI Vegas Season 1, Explaination
The first season of “CSI: Vegas”, which aired 10 episodes, has ended in the typical franchise fashion. While our heroes now have access to all the special amenities Sin City has to provide, the villains from the first series are still in prison. There are many reasons why we should celebrate the season’s ending.
The rescue and exonerations of David Hodges (Wallace Langham) and Sara Sidle’s (Jorja Fox), respectively, means that Maxine Roby is back in her former position at the CSI Lab as the head. Their efforts made it possible for hundreds of convictions from original series to be retained in force. This means that hundreds of Las Vegas murderers can be held responsible.
These happy endings aren’t easy to achieve for the team and there’s every reason to suspect that peace and quiet will not last very long. This is a detailed look into where the main characters finish Season 1 and how they got there.
David Hodges is saved from a smell
After fighting through many other criminals over the past nine episodes, Las Vegas’ criminal investigation unit finally capture Anson WIX (Jamie McShane), to rescue David Hodges. Despite claims that Hodges falsified evidence while he was on the original series, this is still a victory. Hodges confesses on camera to his crimes, and it appears that he is on the run. In reality, Hodges was kidnapped by Wix and forced to tape a confession.
In the finale of Season 2, Wix leaves Hodges behind at an abandoned hotel. Lucky for Hodges, his former colleagues worked tirelessly to locate him. They even found the source of the casino-scented scent. Although they don’t find anything in an active hotel, Hodges is eventually rescued from an abandoned hotel where he tried to recreate the scent used at the other casino. Hodges, staring up at his colleagues and joking that it took too long for him to find the right scent, grins. It is hard to imagine how simple it would be to identify a scent or perform any of the many miracles of forensic work in “CSI: Vegas.”
Langham played the role of David Hodges in 247 episodes of “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”. (via IMDb). Langham does not appear in all episodes of “CSI: Vegas” unlike fellow cast members Jorja Fox and William Petersen, who both appear in every episode. Hodges, although he only appears in half of the episodes, plays an important part in this season.
Allie’s and Josh’s futures are uncertain
Season finale is about Hodges, the team and trying to get rid of Wix. Allie Rajan (Mandeep Dhillon), Josh Folsom, Matt Lauria and Josh Folsom get involved in the main investigations instead of another crime. One scene shows the crime-investigating group tearing apart a vehicle. Allie suddenly confesses to having learned something about Mark in a previous case.
The season premiere sees the team investigating the murder at a Pawn Shop. Josh must melt several weapons in order to determine the required temperature to remove serial numbers. Allie’s boyfriend Mark asks her to move in. Allie claims that she feels the urge to throw Mark’s key into the melting metal. But she decides to stop. Josh clearly felt the power of this story. Allie said, “Hugo told me that you’re never going talk to Mark because you are too professional.” Before adding, “Don’t worry. I will be more professional, too.”
Allie finds out that Mark’s key has been stolen in the last moments of Season 1 finale. When she realizes, she smiles. Josh is strongly implied as being responsible for the damage. This could indicate that another love story, in the same vein as GSR (the popular acronym for “Grissom / Sarah Romance”), could blossom in the future.
Sara and Grissom enjoy a ride on a coaster.
The romance between Sara and Grissom, which develops over many seasons, is one of the most beloved subplots in the original “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”. Their love story starts in the first seasons, but they don’t officially marry until the Season 10 premiere. According to IMDb, they split in Season 13. They reunited in Season 10.
After rescuing Hodges, and confirming that Wix will spend the rest his life behind bars for good, Grissom & Sara take part in a celebration that Grissom is known to enjoy. Grissom loves a ride on a roller coaster, especially after a hard moment. (via Today). The couple shares a moment of joy on the final moments of Season 1 of “CSI: Vegas”. They are soon enthralled by the ride’s twists and turns and share a kiss.
It will be interesting to see if Sara and Grissom return to the crime laboratory to clear Hodges’s name. Post-finale interview with TVLine, Jason Tracey, the “CSI: Vegas” showrunner, said that there is no expectation that they will return but that he would be happy to talk to “a few legends.”
CSI Vegas Season 2 Release date
The series’ return will be delayed until September. The CSI Vegas Season 2 premier will air on Thursday September 29.
This night is different to the first. The first season aired Wednesday nights. The Amazing Race is taking over that time slot. CBS has chosen to air a whole night’s worth of reality programming Wednesday nights. It is very difficult to get a Thursday 10:00 p.m. slot. Fans should keep tuning in.
Wednesday nights were very competitive. CSI Vegas struggled in the live ratings, but streaming ratings were strong. CBS is likely to follow suit for Thursday night.
We don’t know the details of this season. What we do know is that it will be more episodes than the 10 that the first season had.
