Kakashi did not want Rin to die, so Rin impaled herself on Kakashi’s Chidori (his concentrated lightning Chakra) and then hid in the mist, so Kakashi would not notice. Obito, Rin’s best friend, watched as the events unfold from a cave in which he was imprisoned and was unable to intervene. Obito won the battle against enemy Ninjas, which he, Rin, and Obito had fought for. Obito was in love with Rin, even though Rin didn’t know it. This made her demise even more difficult. Obito promised that he would create a new world in which Rin and he could be again together. According to fandom pages, Rin looked after Obito’s best friend after her death.
