Yūji Takemura Draws Gourmet Manga Spinoff of Shikakenin Fujieda Baian Manga - News


Manga launches on March 14


The official website of LEED Publishing‘s Comic Ran TwinsTuesday’s issue of the magazine was revealed Yūji TakemuraHe will publish a spinoff manga to his manga adaptation Shōtarō Ikenami‘s Shikakenin Fujieda BaianThe magazine’s April issue on March 14 featured novels. The manga is called Shikakenin Meshibanashi ~Fujiede Baian Saiban-ki~It will feature a gourmet manga that explores the Edo period’s cuisine. The late Shōtarō IkenamiHe is still credited with the original work.

Takemura created the original manga in Comic Ran TwinsIn May 2016, it was ended in November 2021.

Original novels were set in the Edo period. They focus on Fujieda Baian who is a doctor and a physician by day but a ruthless killer by night. The tools of his trade are the exact same for both jobs: acupuncture needles which leave no trace.

Seven novels were published by Ikenami between 1972 and his death in 1990. Shikakenin Fujieda BaianIkenami’s passing left many series unfinished. This series inspired many live-action series as well as films. A previous manga adaptation by Golgo 13Creator Takao SashitoFrom 2001 to 2015, 35 volumes were serialized.

Ikenami’s OniheiThe 2017 anime of the same title was also inspired by novels.
